Laura Sager, CAPPS’s executive director, will join a panel of advocates at 1 pm on October 26 at this important conference exploring policies leading to Michigan’s over-reliance on incarceration.

The conference is Saturday, October 26 – 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

There will be presentations and panel discussions designed to help understand the issues and explore the solutions:

  • Conference keynote speaker: La Ron Williams, nationally acclaimed storyteller and social activist who grew up in Flint, graduating from Southwestern High School
  • Action Expo: Displays by organizations focused on the incarceration epidemic.
  • Continental breakfast and lunch provided
