CAPPS members unanimously elected a slate of eight candidates to its 15 member board of directors at its November 18 annual membership meeting.

Five of the candidates were current board members whose three-year terms had ended: Michael A. Boulus, executive director, Presidents’ Council, State Universities of Michigan; Professor Ronald Bretz, Thomas Cooley Law School; Robert Brown Jr., former director of the Michigan Department of Corrections; Michael Vizena, executive director of the Michigan Association of Community Health Boards; and Brad Williams, vice president of governmental relations, Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Three of those elected had been appointed to the board in 2013: Rev. Vern Hoffman, retired pastor of the Reformed Church in America; Monica Jahner, program director, of ARRO, Northwest Initiative; and Mary Lynn Stevens, director of development, University of Michigan Center for the Education of Women.
